Russé Digital ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We aim to be transparent and straightforward — no walls of legalese.

Who we are

Russé Digital is a digital agency based in the South West of the United Kingdom. We build custom websites, bespoke software, and intelligent integrations for businesses across the UK.

For any questions about this policy or your personal data, you can contact us at:
hello@russedigital.co.uk

What data we collect

We only collect the personal data that you provide to us directly. This includes:

  • Name — so we know who we're speaking to.
  • Email address — so we can reply to your enquiry.
  • Message content — the details you share about your project or question.
  • Service interest — which of our services you're enquiring about.

We collect this information when you submit our contact form. We do not collect data from any other source, and we do not purchase or obtain data from third parties.

Why we collect it

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.
  • To provide you with a quote or proposal if requested.
  • To follow up on our conversation where appropriate.

Our legal basis for processing this data under UK GDPR is legitimate interest — specifically, the need to respond to a business enquiry that you have initiated. Where we continue a conversation beyond the initial response, we rely on your ongoing engagement as a clear indication of interest.

How long we keep your data

We retain contact form submissions for up to 24 months from the date of your last interaction with us. After that period, your data is securely deleted. If an enquiry leads to a client relationship, we retain relevant records for the duration of that relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically 6 years) for legal and accounting purposes.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) as part of the infrastructure that stores and transmits it, but it is not accessed or used by them for any other purpose.

Cookies

We aim to keep cookie usage to a minimum. Here is what our site uses:

Essential cookies

We use localStorage (a browser storage mechanism similar to cookies) to remember your cookie consent preference. This contains no personal data — it simply records whether you have accepted or dismissed the cookie notice, so we do not show it to you repeatedly.

Analytics

We do not currently use any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) on this website. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before any analytics cookies are placed.

Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — you can ask us what personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — you can request a copy of your data in a structured format.
  • Right to object — you can object to us processing your data based on legitimate interest.

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at hello@russedigital.co.uk. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Data submitted through our contact form is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on secure, access-controlled servers.

Children's data

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first — so please do get in touch with us at hello@russedigital.co.uk before escalating.
